Sovrano AI is hiring practicing electrical and electronics engineers for fully remote, project-based work checking how well frontier AI does real electrical and electronics engineering, from circuit and power design to controls, RF and signal work. Pay is $40–$125 USD an hour, at least 10 hours a week, as an independent contractor. Open to engineers in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada or Australia.

You will build realistic tasks out of problems from your own electrical engineering work; give those tasks to frontier AI models and judge the results against the standard of your profession; weigh paired model answers and explain which one holds up; and write grading rubrics and set out your reasoning in writing.

Requirements: based in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada or Australia; Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or electronics engineering or a related field (completed or in progress); 2+ years of industry experience in electrical or electronics engineering preferred; available at least 10 hours per week; a PayPal account for payment; willing to work without LLM assistance where the project requires it; one email address for signup, assessment and payment. Skills listed: circuit design, circuit simulation, PCB design, embedded systems, power electronics and rubric writing. Preferred: having used Claude or ChatGPT in your professional work.
