$40 - $120 USD hourly

SME Careers, an AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, is building a pool of Attorneys / Lawyers for hourly, fully remote AI training work: reviewing AI-generated legal responses and/or creating expert legal content, and evaluating reasoning quality and step-by-step issue analysis. Pay is up to USD 120/hr depending on country: up to $120 in the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands; up to $60 in Brazil; and up to $40 in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.

You will create detailed prompts and gold-standard legal outputs (issue analyses, drafting examples, checklists, policies and memos); evaluate and rank AI responses for correctness, clarity, defensibility and risk awareness; assess accuracy, completeness and adherence to the prompt; identify errors in legal reasoning, rule application, procedural steps and risk/assumption handling; fact-check legal concepts and, when required, citations; and test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, confidentiality risks and bias.

Requirements: JD/LLB (or equivalent law degree) and active bar membership (or eligibility) in at least one jurisdiction; 5+ years of professional experience practicing law (law firm, in-house, government or legal aid); strong issue spotting and structured legal analysis, including identifying assumptions and uncertainty; experience in one or more practice areas (e.g. commercial/contracts, employment, privacy, corporate, litigation, IP, real estate, compliance); strong research skills with primary authority (statutes, regulations, cases); excellent drafting and editing; exceptional attention to detail; minimum C1 English. Prior AI data training/annotation, legal QA, editorial review or knowledge-management work is strongly preferred.

Important: SME Careers says there is no immediate project for this role. This is a talent-pool signup: qualified applicants are among the first contacted when relevant projects open.
