The Cargo Sales Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maximizing cargo capacity utilization by managing key accounts, driving sales through cargo sales agents (CSAs), and identifying growth opportunities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive and follow up on cargo sales performance with CSAs.
- Promote available capacity on freighter and passenger aircrafts in collaboration with CSAs.
- Identify and pursue market opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
- Track and resolve issues related to offloaded cargo by coordinating with relevant departments.
- Develop new cargo business opportunities and establish long-term client relationships.
- Liaise with ground handling agents and cargo warehouses to ensure smooth shipment processing.
- Maintain strong communication and follow-up with freight forwarders, agents, and potential clients.
- Coordinate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure high service quality.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet service-level deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Qualifications:
- Bacherlor's Degree in Markeintg, Logistics or any related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in air cargo sales, freight forwarding, or cargo operations—preferably in an airport or logistics environment.
- In-depth knowledge of air cargo regulations, airway bills, and IATA procedures.
- Familiarity with the cargo market and operational environment is highly preferred.
