Clinical Applications Support Analyst

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Clinical Applications Support Analyst to manage, support, and optimize clinical software systems across our healthcare environment. This role serves as a vital bridge between clinical users and technical teams, ensuring efficient system performance, user satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain clinical application settings to meet operational and clinical workflows
  • Provide front-line technical support and training to clinical and administrative users
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to support system integration and upgrades
  • Monitor system performance and reliability; identify and escalate issues proactively
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare security protocols, data privacy standards, and regulatory frameworks
  • Assist in incident resolution by troubleshooting application issues and escalating as necessary
  • Perform system maintenance, version updates, and testing of clinical applications and features
  • Conduct and document end-user training sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Create and maintain technical and user-facing documentation, including support guides and SOPs
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in system usage and support
  • Analyze data to support decision-making, usage trends, and application optimization
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of EHR systems, patient management platforms, and healthcare technologies
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT, ensuring effective communication and solution delivery


Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Experience :
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and healthcare IT infrastructure
  • Exposure to configuration, implementation, and support of clinical applications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for clinical systems and medical device integrations
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and performance monitoring tools
  • Proven experience implementing security and compliance measures in healthcare environments
