The Customer Account Representative serves as an liaison between Sherwin-Williams’ customers, internal departments, and business partners. The Customer Account Representative provides customer service, support, and technical guidance to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include working with members of multiple departments to respond to customer needs, researching complex information and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
Promptly process incoming orders received from external customers via email, phone, fax and EDI.
Coordinate and communicate with several internal departments on a daily basis to ensure customer requirements are met. This includes working directly with production scheduling, shipping, purchasing, sales, quality control and other internal departments across five Coil coatings plants throughout the US.
Maintain customer-required metrics and recurring reports.
Track shipments and work with carriers to ensure timely order delivery.
Work with outside warehouses to ensure orders are shipped and invoiced and inventory is accurate.
Investigate aged inventory and work with demand planning, sales and CS team to determine solutions to stagnate inventories.
Enter customer complaints in detail utilizing Sherwin-Williams’ internal quality system.
Follow-up on customer issues timely and obtain support with key personnel as needed.
Apply departmental policies and procedures to resolve complex situations.
Ability to see inconsistencies and offer suggestions for improvement.
Work in a close team-environment to provide necessary support to ensure customers receive stellar service.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
1-2 years of customer service experience
High school graduate
Post-secondary education is preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication
