Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Diesel/CNG Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities across diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently while mentoring junior mechanics and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel and CNG-powered trucks, including engines, electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
  • Lead comprehensive inspections of brake systems, engine components, emissions systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level B and C mechanics.
  • Prioritize and manage repair schedules to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Review mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair timelines.
  • Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks including reports, work orders, and parts ordering.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Interpret complex electrical and diagnostic schematics.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel/CNG truck maintenance.
  • Brake Safety Certificate and EPA 609 A/C Certification required.
  • ASE Certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, manuals, and diagnostic software.
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Class A or B CDL preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.


Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to operate trucks and equipment as needed.
  • Prolonged use of computers and related devices.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in physically demanding environments.
