Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations, establishing personalized treatment plans based on physician orders.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and overall function, closely monitoring each patient's progress and modifying interventions as necessary.
  • Document all aspects of patient care meticulously, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff, providing guidance to enhance the quality of care delivered to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities, staying abreast of clinical best practices and advancements in the field of physical therapy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
