Key Responsibilities

  • Execute personalized therapeutic programs designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, significantly aiding patients in regaining mobility, strength, and daily function.
  • Provide various interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and neuromuscular reeducation, ensuring high-quality application of treatment modalities as per PT directives.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of each patient's treatment sessions, progress, and overall responses using our sophisticated electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises, body mechanics, and safety protocols to empower them in managing their recovery independently between therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, clinic aides, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow, ensuring timely and effective delivery of care.
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans while effectively communicating developments with the supervising PT, other healthcare providers, and family members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At our Monmouth Junction clinic, we cater primarily to outpatient orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions related to sports and everyday activities. Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is required as it prepares candidates with essential knowledge about anatomy and rehabilitation principles.
  • Licensure: Current, valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license is mandatory.

  • Certifications: CPR certification is required, or willingness to acquire it promptly post-hire.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience: Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience are preferred; however, enthusiastic and newly graduated PTAs are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
