Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and their families about treatment procedures and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment activities.
  • Apply the principles of infection control and standard precautions in all patient care activities.
  • Accept clinical assignments that align with your education and competency to ensure optimal care for diverse patient populations.
  • Participate in continuous education programs and in-service training to maintain knowledge and skills in line with industry standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and competency through the use of advanced technologies and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population you will be working with includes individuals recovering from various medical conditions, surgeries, and injuries, with a significant focus on the elderly demographic. Your role is crucial in assisting these patients in regaining mobility, strength, and independence, thus enhancing their quality of life. You will provide compassionate care while helping patients navigate their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution; new graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Proficient in practicing physical therapy practices in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • A strong passion for working with and supporting the elderly and rehabilitation patients.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems and point-of-service documentation is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
