Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring each session aligns with therapeutic goals.
• Administer hands-on therapy techniques including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises under the guidance of a supervising physical therapist.
• Educate and motivate patients on prescribed exercises and home programs designed to enhance their rehabilitation and recovery process.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting changes and reports to the supervising therapist for further guidance.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including physicians and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement trigger point therapy techniques and other state-of-the-art treatment methodologies as appropriate to relieve pain and improve function.
• Engage in occupational health initiatives aimed at improving both the physical and mental well-being of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant will involve working with a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and seniors dealing with various conditions ranging from orthopedic injuries to post-operative recovery. Our focus is on rehabilitation and pain management, therefore, you will play a critical role in enhancing patients' overall mobility and assisting them in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an emphasis on physical therapy practices.
• A current and active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is essential.
• Proven knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, which is crucial for understanding patient needs and treatment efficacy.
• A high level of proficiency in manual therapy techniques to provide effective, hands-on patient care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
