Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a hospital-based setting, where collaboration among multidisciplinary teams is key. Our modern facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and a welcoming atmosphere that promotes healing and recovery. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, providing a balanced environment where patient care and professional development thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing customized treatment programs based on each patient's individual needs.
  • Administer hands-on therapies, including but not limited to exercises, manual therapy, and specialized treatment techniques under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Educate patients about necessary exercises and daily activities that promote recovery and enhance their rehabilitation journey.
  • Monitor and meticulously document patient progress during therapy sessions, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with facility protocol.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, which may include physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Utilize trigger point therapy techniques when appropriate, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support occupational health initiatives and programs within the facility, contributing positively to the work environment and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or a related field.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant state license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and familiar with various rehabilitation methodologies.
  • A genuine ability to provide compassionate and empathetic patient care.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment will be highly regarded. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will enhance workflow efficiency. Specific experience in orthopedic rehabilitation will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
