Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse
Looking for a critical care nurse who has a minimum of two years' experience caring for patients in need of cardiovascular specialized care.
The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed unit with an average census of 12 patients.We are comprised of roughly 50 employees with Nurse-to-Patient Ratios of 1:2 (1:1 for CRRT and balloon pump care) with 2 LNA on days and 1 LNA on nights.The typical patient population consists of adults 17 & older with the following conditions: trauma, respiratory, surgical, neuro, sepsis, ARDS, and pulmonary.
The ICU Registered Nurse delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANAs Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; Innovation & Inspiration
Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
Demonstrates accountability for continued professional growth and development.
Demonstrates accountability for own role in smooth operations of unit.
Demonstrates the ability to recognize and manage rapidly changing situations.
Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Two years as a cardiovascular ICU Nurse
Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within the three years of entering the specialty practice.
Software/Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new system or performs upgrades to existing systems.
