Head of Field Marketing

The Head of Field Marketing directs Janney’s advisor consulting and design organization, partnering with our 900 advisors to elevate their local market presence and drive growth in clients and AUM. They will create and oversee scalable strategies for local activation, coach advisors and their teams on best practices and marketing technology, and measure their impact on business growth and advisor satisfaction. They are also accountable for operational improvements, identifying ways to streamline processes, accelerate timelines, and facilitate cost-effective growth, including adoption of AI solutions.

Reporting to the CMO, this is a fast-paced role with significant autonomy and decision-making authority, supported by a team of 10 marketing specialists and designers, committed leadership and advisor partners, and strong growth momentum.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 in-office days in our Philadelphia headquarters and occasional travel to branch offices.

• Strategic Leadership:  The ability to synthesize complex business opportunities into clear, actionable marketing strategies. 

• Coaching and Team Development:  Adept at developing talent, growing capabilities, and building careers. 
• Collaboration:  The ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization, considering many points of view before arriving at final decisions. 
• Process Engineering:  Skilled in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and advisor satisfaction through continuous improvement and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable strategies for local activation, advancing best practices while being flexible to local markets and distinct advisor priorities.
• Improve advisor mastery of digital marketing channels & technology, including social, advisor sites, email marketing, and content.
• Provide proactive consulting to high-growth advisor teams, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and central support to advance their business strategies.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of a high volume of marketing assets, including local ads, event invitations, and other collateral.
• Coach and develop team members for continuous learning, career development, and modern marketing expertise.
• Implement processes, systems, and technologies for cost-effective, nimble, and high-quality expansion of field marketing.

What you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong management skills and a proven track record coaching and developing a team.
• A strong Marketing generalist skill-set with hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.
• A proven track record of delivering effective growth marketing strategies to financial advisors, with wealth management experience required.
• Comfort with both the strategic elements of local marketing and the tactical details of efficient marketing operations.
• 10-15 years minimum experience in Marketing, with at least 5 in financial services.
