Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative, onsite setting that fosters teamwork and communication among healthcare professionals. Our rehabilitation center boasts modern treatment rooms and exercise areas designed to facilitate a wide array of therapeutic interventions. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and medical history to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality while ensuring each session is tailored to the individual's unique needs.
  • Possess the capability to maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour, allowing for focused and effective care delivery.
  • Utilize modalities and rehabilitation techniques to enhance patient recovery and maximize their potential.
  • Minimize reliance on medications and advocate for non-surgical alternatives.
  • Document all patient interactions and progress accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT, to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and healing environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care and articulate treatment goals effectively.
  • Evaluate and monitor patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on wellness practices and preventative care strategies to support their rehabilitation and future health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your interventions will focus on restoring mobility, increasing strength, and improving overall physical functioning, tailored to individuals of various ages and backgrounds. This interaction presents a unique opportunity to build rapport and develop long-term therapeutic relationships with your patients.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with no records of disciplinary actions.
  • Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing exercise programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage time efficiently in a busy clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, with proven skills in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in formulating and conducting wellness programs or educational workshops is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
