Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions using clinical evaluation techniques, ensuring each patient receives a tailored treatment plan that aligns with their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, massage, stretching, and exercise prescription, to enhance mobility and decrease pain effectively.
• Actively participate in clinical teaching, mentoring students, interns, and less experienced staff, thereby fostering a culture of learning within the team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in interdisciplinary meetings to optimize patient outcomes and share insights on effective treatment modalities.
• Help develop continuing education opportunities by identifying educational needs and assisting in creating training programs for staff development.
• Stay current with industry trends and practices, and may initiate or participate in clinical research projects relevant to orthopedic therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will develop trust-based relationships while educating patients on their conditions and the rehabilitation process, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and active Physical Therapy license in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, showcasing proficiency in patient assessment and intervention.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, paired with a patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Experience in outpatient settings is a plus, emphasizing individualized treatment planning and collaborative care.

Compensation and Benefits
