Work Environment

As a member of our onsite team, you will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment in our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to understand individual needs and limitations.
• Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation treatment plans that focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and flexibility.
• Utilize various treatment techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and advanced therapeutic modalities.
• Participate in clinical teaching, providing mentorship to interns, students, and new staff, contributing to the growth of the next generation of physical therapists.
• Provide ongoing education and resources to staff regarding best practices and innovative treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with the management team to initiate and participate in clinical research projects relevant to orthopedic physical therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing orthopedic issues such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role will be critical in helping these individuals achieve their goals for recovery and functional independence, ensuring they receive personalized attention and tailored care plans.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's Degree.
• An active New York State Physical Therapy license is essential for this position.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and team members.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills to deliver high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with evidence-based practice methodologies and tools.
