With CHKD Medical Group (CMG), you’ll join more than 120 CHKD board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners in 19 primary care practices with 27 locations throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Each CHKD medical group practice is recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a patient-centered medical home for our patients. Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient clinic settingÂ
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in childrenÂ
- Build strong connections with patients and families, fostering a supportive environmentÂ
- Participate in rotating on-call duties as neededÂ
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triageÂ
- Ensure patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelinesÂ
- Engage in continuing medical education and professional developmentÂ
Qualifications
- Board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics (if board-eligible, certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion)Â
- Must possess a valid Virginia medical licenseÂ
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient careÂ
- Excellent rapport with children and familiesÂ
