Registered Nurse Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP)
Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP) is a 6-bed emergency behavioral crisis unit located within the ED. Elliot Behavioral Health Services is staffed by a team of mental health professionals who tailor both evaluation and treatment services to each individual patient. Our state-of-the-art units provide a wide array of equipment and patient acuity depending on a nurses professional interests, certifications, and experience level.
The Registered Nurse on PEP delivers care for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. This includes de-escalation and crisis management under the supervision of providers. Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN BSN preferred)
Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
Aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS
