Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass, you will:

• Develop, implement, and oversee individual treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, aimed at relieving pain, restoring function, and preventing future disabilities.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper delivery of prescribed physical therapy services and adherence to treatment plans.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess each client's muscle and joint functionality, mobility, and overall physical health using diagnostic tools.
• Adapt treatment approaches based on patient progress and changing needs, modifying care plans in consultation with interdisciplinary team members and the patient's physician.
• Engage actively in clinical documentation practices, including preparing initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, all while ensuring compliance with OASIS requirements.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding physical therapy techniques, assistive devices, and home exercise programs.
• Facilitate open communication with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to promote cohesive care and effective rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Valid CPR certification and a driver's license with automobile insurance for home visits as needed.

• A strong commitment to ethical care, clinical excellence, and professional integrity.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in an outpatient or home healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
